The Manchester College is seeking a compassionate and resilient Project Worker to join our Alternative Provision team based within a Pupil Referral Unit. This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about supporting young people facing barriers to education. You’ll work closely with learners to build trust, boost engagement, and help them achieve their potential in a safe, supportive setting. We have an exciting opportunity at our Wythenshawe Campus to join our Pupil Referral Unit as a Project Worker (Alternative Provision) on a fixed-term (until July 2026), full-time (35 hours per week), term-time only basis (42 weeks).

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Relevant Youth and Community Work qualification or equivalent
  • Relevant appropriate experience working in a youth related environment
  • Significant experience of working with school-age learners within alternative education settings
  • Maths and English at Level 2 or equivalent would be desirable
